Altana is a delightful studio apartment,
located on the top of the tower of an ancient, elegant
palace. This is surely the most romantic place of the
town, the views from this traditionally decorated loft
just don't get any better, with large windows on all
sides giving panoramic views of the walls, towers and
churches of Lucca. But, having first to climb about 110
stairs, Altana is not attractive for everybody.
The accommodation is bright, simple and elegant, consisting
of a very comfortable double sofabed, kitchenette with
fridge, and a bathroom. The ceiling, with its thick,
dark beams and earthy, red tiles, is straight out of
the past.
